Important events and/or dates this week:
We are also starting our Food Unit this week. We
are reading Apple Farmer Annie. Annie has an
Apple Tree orchard and she picks apples in the
fall. She uses some of her apples to make
different foods. She sells the best apples at a
market in the city. Children will learn about
events that happen in the story to include the
order the events occur. Remembering the order
helps them understand and helps them retell the
story as well. In Math we are continuing with
addition strategies. This week we are going to
practice using a ten frame.

Igualmente empezaremos nuestra Unidad de la
Comida esta semana. Estaremos leyendo Los
árboles frutales. Los niños aprenderán como se
planta una huerta y cuando se deben recoger y
comer las frutas. Aprenderemos que las cosas
que pasan en un cuento pasan en cierto orden.
Recordar el orden nos ayuda a entender el
libro. También nos ayuda a volver a recontar
cuentos. En matematicas, continuaremos con las
estrategias para sumar. Esta semana estaremos
practicando el uso del marco de 10.
