SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Engaged couples must make arrangements at least six months prior
to the date of marriage. All are required to participate in a
marriage preparation program. Please call the office to make an

Baptism is ordinarily celebrated within a faith community. Please
call the office to register for a preparation class and to arrange for a
time for the celebration.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the
Guadalupe Chapel.
OFFERTORY GIFT BEARERS
What an honor it is to carry the wine, hosts and offerings to the
priest at Mass for consecration! Gift Bearers actively participate in
the celebration of the Mass by presenting the gifts of Bread and
Wine at the Offertory and require no special skills. Families and
couples are invited to sign up to bring the gifts at the Mass that
they designate as their preference. If you are interested, please

MISAS DOMINICALES
Nuestra Parroquia de Cristo Redentor celebra dos misas
Dominicales: la primera misa Dominical es celebranda todos
los sábados a las 7:00 p.m. y la segunda misa Dominical a las
12:00 del mediodía del día Domingo. La misa es una
celebración comunitaria; por lo tanto participan miembros de
los distintos grupos y movimientos de la comunidad católica,
por tal motivo tratamos de no particularizarla con gestos que
son propios de cada grupo o movimiento eclesial.
SACRAMENTO DE UNCIÓN DE LOS ENFERMOS
Por favor llamar a la Oficina Parroquial para solicitar la
suministración de los Sacramentos de Confesión o Unción de
Enfermos, ya sea en la casa o hospital.
MISAS MEMORIALES
La santa misa se puede celebrar en caso de muerte. Para

PILGRIMAGE TO ITALY
Parishioners are invited to participate in a pilgrimage to Italy
under the auspices of the Friars of the Atonement on Sept. 1525, 2014. Other parishes operated by the Friars of the Atonement
are also invited to participate in this pilgrimage. The locations to
be visited include Rome, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Padua and
Venice. Fr. Brian Terry, SA, a son of the parish who lives in
Assisi, will accompany the tour in Italy. The cost of the tour is
$2,989 + departure taxes and fuel surcharge. The tour is

THIRD ANNUAL FORTNIGHT FOR FREEDOM
Join the Arlington Diocese again in shining a light on the
continuing challenges to religious freedom both home and
abroad during the third annual Fortnight for Freedom, with the
theme “Freedom to Serve,” from June 21-July 4. In addition to
parish-based events, Bishop Loverde will host a special event on
June 28 from 9:00 a.m. - noon at St. Joseph Parish in Herndon,
featuring a keynote address by Catholic University of America
President Dr. John Garvey and a Q&A panel discussion.
LINK FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED IN JUNE
LINK is collecting food before and after each Mass during June
for our needy families in Herndon, Sterling, and
Ashburn. Please help by donating your non-perishable food
items -- such as chicken, tuna, rice, tomato products, beans like
kidney, black or pork and beans -- and household items
like tooth paste, soap, detergent, and diapers. A LINK
representative will be in the parking lot all weekends in June to
take your donations. Of course, cash and checks will also

MUSICAL INSTRUMENT DONATIONS NEEDED
Do you have a musical instrument in your home that is no longer
being used? If so, please consider donating it to the students of
the San Bernadino Catholic School, located in Patzun,
Guatemala. This school, as well as an orphanage and the Corpus
Christi Clinic, is operated by Franciscan Sisters of the
Immaculate Conception. The musical instruments will be taken
to Patzun this summer with the Mission Group of St. Ann Parish,
located in Waynesburg, PA. Your generous donation will allow
these students to have a musical experience that would otherwise
not be a part of their education. If you have any questions or

The Children’s Choir, Youth Choir and Adult Choir do not meet

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS

“God so loved the world that he gave his only Son...”
Today is both Father’s Day and the Feast of the Holy
Trinity, that great mystery of the one God whom we have
come to know and experience as the Father, Son, and the
Holy Spirit. The First Reading and Gospel speak much
about the Father and the Son and the Second Reading
speaks of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. But the Gospel
also speaks of the great LOVE that the Father has for the
world that he sent his SON, who in turn gifted us the Holy
Spirit at Pentecost so that we, the Church, might continue to
have the grace of Christ, the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
As Easter Season officially comes to a close, do you still see
the community of faith renewed by the Resurrection of the
Lord, brought together in fellowship to Mass, and alive and
ready to proclaim the Good News boldly with our lives out
in the world? Are you moved to do the same?
