PROGRAMA DE EDUCACION RELIGIOSA
The Religious Education Program will be open
from 9:30AM to 1:00PM Monday thru Wednesday
during the summer. We will open Monday nights
again in the second week of August. Please call
429-8824 for more information.
The office will be closed July 13th thru the 24th.
Lastly, we are in need of four, volunteers to
help us teach a 7th grade class. It would be ideal to
have two teachers in a class. Please pray about it,
talk to those who teach religion class. It is such a
wonderful experience to be able to share and
witness your faith to the future of our church.

Please register before September so that we
may prepare for the number of classes and
teachers needed for this coming year. Please
continue praying for our students.

CONCILIO PASTORAL
Our parish Pastoral Council is planning to add new
members to the Council to begin after the summer in
September. The Pastoral Council works for the ongoing
development of the ministries in our parish. New
members will join with our current council when it meets
for its’ annual year-end review and planning for the
future. Service on the council includes a monthly
meeting from September through June and a few hours
of committee work between the regular meetings each
month. If you would like to serve on the Council, please
speak with Fr. Madden.

Dear Friends in the Lord:
Estimados amigos en el Señor:
It is time once again for the parishes of the
United States to take up the annual collection to
assist Catholics in Latin American and the
Caribbean who, though rich in culture and faith,
are poor in material goods.
Each year, the donation made by the
People of God of the Archdiocese of New York
is forwarded to diocese, parishes, religious
communities, seminaries, and other Catholic
institutions throughout Latin America and the
Caribbean in order that the priests, religious
missionaries, and catechists -- any of whom are
lay people – might continue to produce much
fruit for the Church.
At the same time, we take up the annual
Catholic Home Missions collection so that the
Church in Appalachia, the Deep South, and the
Rocky Mountain States might be able to
maintain parishes, schools, and charitable and
healthcare institutions for millions of needy
brothers and sisters in the Lord here in our own
nation.
With this letter, I ask that you consider a
generous gift in support of two very worthy
causes. So many of our people trace their roots
to Latin America and the Caribbean and the
Catholic Home Missions assists our local
Church. They truly are the work of the Lord in
our midst.

This Sunday, July 26th, is the last Sunday of the
month of July which is Loaves and Fishes Sunday for us
at St. Peter’s Church when our parish Food Pantry
seeks help in providing food for those in our community
who are hungry. There is a box in the rear of church to
receive donations. Thank you for your generous

PARISH SECRETARY/BOOKKEEPER NEEDED
AT SGB St. Gregory Barbarigo is seeking a full-time
secretary and bookkeeper from 9:00 AM to 4:00PM each
weekday at its parish offices. Telephone,

bookkeeping program; have a friendly, welcoming
