Saint Stephen Martyr Catholic Church 95th ANNIVERSARY
320 W. Garvey Ave. Monterey Park, CA 91754 Saint Stephen Martyr Catholic Church In the depths of our being, if we imitate Jesus, can we make room for love? If we allow this love to live within us, will love incarnate (Jesus) come alive in us? Do we will to join the profound image and likeness of God, according to which we are made? Can we act and know that it is God who works in and for us? If we become self-absorbed, if we "exalt ourselves," as Jesus says in the Gospel, we will cover our souls with countless layers of mud. If we seek to become what we own, what others think of us, what culture imposes on us we can never allow ourselves to become "Christ -Like". Love gives and gives without expecting. One must know how to give what is nonrefundable. Even people who are the most dedicated to others complain occasionally that; they find no correspondence back not even a thanks. And it's very true. And this is why Jesus wants us to be Christians and to be "different". That, despite abusing our kindness, we continue trying to give and give, although we feel foolish, getting slaps on both sides, let us not stop to give and give, because only in that love do we encounter the closeness of God. You want to know how close you are to God? See how close you are to your brothers and sisters. If you feel away from them, you are far from God. If you feel far away from God, Who Moved? You or God? Usted o Dios? However, parents should start every visit to the park with a discussion with their kids about safety plan. Kids should know what to do if a stranger were to approach them, and who to go to if they feel uncomfortable or threatened. Public parks are a great place to play, but they are exposed to the public. Having a safety plan in place can help parents and kids feel secure and play safely this summer. For a copy of the TODAY.com article, email [email protected] or call (213) 637-7227. ST.
